Out of hours service
Between 6:30pm and 8am, Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on bank holidays your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.
Enhanced access
A Norwich scheme offers GP appointments at times outside the normal surgery hours of 8am and 6:30pm. The partnership offers appointments before 8am and up to 7pm already, but these are in addition to that.
The clinicians are not from St Stephen’s Gate Medical Practice and the service is provided at Lionwood Surgery, NR1 4NU.
You may ask for one of these when you call and if any of our allocations are left, you will be given it. Alternatively, in discussion with a member of the duty team, you may be offered one, if the timing of the appointment is more important than coming to us.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
