Prescribing assistant

It is a challenging and exciting time to be working in general practice. Ensuring patients have the right medications at the right time is essential to keeping them safe and well.

That’s why our medications team is at the heart of our work.

We are expanding our current medications operation and have an ambitious plan to add to our high-quality team to ensure our prescribing practice is first class.

We are looking for a Prescription Assistant to join the team. You may be experienced in general practice or looking to take the next step in your medical admin career. Experience of the NHS is likely to be an advantage but many of your future colleagues have joined from completely different sectors, especially retail. It may also suit someone used to data flows, or even bookkeeping, looking for a more patient focused role.

Practice nurse

We are a busy city centre medical practice offering outstanding patient care, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our Nursing Team to provide primary health care to our patient population.

We are a dual-site practice, based between St Stephens Gate Medical Centre and Newmarket Road surgery, and provide care for over 19,000 patients. We consistently receive excellent patient feedback, and this role is integral to ensuring that the practice provides an outstanding level of nursing care and maintaining this.

We are looking for individuals with Primary Care Nursing skills and experience, and a willingness to develop other skills that they don’t already have. This role is integral to ensuring that the practice provides an outstanding level of nursing care.

Patient services coordinator

We are a busy city centre medical practice offering outstanding patient care, and we have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Patient Services Coordinator to join our hardworking Patient Services team.

We consistently receive excellent patient feedback, and a large part of this can be attributed to our top quality service that our Patient Services team provide as a patients’ first point of contact with the surgery. If you enjoy customer service, working alongside the public and improving lives, this could be the perfect role for you. We welcome applicants from all types of roles, especially retail. Previous experience within the NHS whilst may be beneficial is not expected.

We have a large team of Patient Coordinators who work alongside our Communications Team, Prescription Team, Medical Secretaries and Clinicians to offer outstanding patient care. We are a dual-site practice, based between St Stephens Gate Medical Centre and Newmarket Road surgery, and provide care for around 19,000 patients.

No two days are the same as a Patient Services Coordinator, and there are a huge variety of tasks involved within this role. Whether this be assisting patients on front desk, working alongside the duty doctor to book in patients that have been triaged, working through patient requests that come in via our online request service, taking phone calls from patients that call in each day, or independently processing tasks that are assigned to the Patient Services team that require various outcomes.
