St Stephens Gate Medical Practice in Norwich is inviting applications for a full-time or three-quarter time GP to join us.

We are a high calibre practice with an excellent support team. We currently teach Year 2 and Year 5 Medical students, and are a full-accredited training and research practice.

We have a strong Nursing team with four independent prescribing Nurse Practitioners, four Practice Nurses and three Health Care Assistants. Two of our Nurse Practitioners are Queen’s Medal holders. As well as chronic disease management, Nurse Practitioners also provide a number of same-day appointments.

We offer patients 15-minute appointments and GPs are supported in their work by a proactive admin team, including a highly skilled prescription request team.

We record excellent QoF achievements, and are considered a proactive and dynamic practice engaging fully with OneNorwich and the Five Year Forward View.

We operate out of two premises. We offer a modern building conveniently located by the inner ring-road in the Chapelfield area of Norwich as well as a more traditional smaller building a short distance away.

We are looking for a GP who wishes to join a robust and successful Practice offering the chance to develop a fully-rounded career in Primary Care.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
